Coiling Weaving

Coiling is an old-age technique of basket weaving in which makers skilfully spiral flexible material around a central core. They use grasses, vines, and synthetic materials like plastic or wire.

Twining Weaving

A methods where pairs of flexible elements are entwined in a helical dance. This technique is very easy to learn, able to implemented in functional and artistic application.

Plaiting Weaving

Plaiting can be done in different way, Weavers mostly used diagonal plaiting to create functional and decorative bags, pouches, and baskets.

Wicker Weaving

They use slender branches or reeds to weave a flexible and durable pattern. The material is usually soaked or steamed to make it more pliable.

Rib-style Weaving

A series of spokes are used as a frame for the basket, and horizontal weavers are added to construct the sides. Many weavers immerse themselves in rib techniques.

Twill Weaving

A method that introduce a diagonal pattern into the traditional weave. Many Indian artisans create baskets with a distinct geometric allure. Showcasing the integration of tradition and innovation.

Random Weaving

Random technique that allow for spontaneous, free-form design.  Using variety of materials to weave baskets that are as unique and divers as a landscape that inspire them.
