Classic Moong Dal Khichdi

 This easy and healthy khichdi is prepared using split yellow moong dal and rice and flavored with cumin, turmeric, and asafoetida.

Masala Khichdi 

 This is a spicy version of the khichdi and the additional vegetables used in this preparation are tomatoes, peas, carrots and potatoes and the spices used are garam masala, coriander and chili powder.

Bajra Khichdi

 This khichdi is prepared with pearl millet (bajra) and moong dal and is quite filling and nutritious for those who want to incorporate whole grains into their meals.

Quinoa Khichdi

 Quinoa khichdi is a variation of the conventional khichdi recipe and is a protein-packed, gluten-free dish made with quinoa, lentils, and vegetables.

Pongal

 A type of khichdi from South India, prepared with rice and moong dal, black pepper, ginger, curry leaves, and ghee. It is usually served with cashews on top to enhance the taste.

Sabudana Khichdi

 This khichdi is prepared with sago, peanuts, potatoes, and a pinch of black pepper, and is preferred during fasting. It is a simple dish but very filling.
