Ingredient
1 cup moong dal, 1 tbsp carrots, 1 tbsp peas, 1 tbsp chana dal, 1/2 cup curd, 1 tsp fruit salt, 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 2 chillies, curry leave
Step 1
Soak moong dal and chana dal in water for at least 4-5 hours. Drain and blend them in a mixer grinder with water to make a paste.
Transfer the paste into a bowl and add curd and salt. Let it rest for about half an hour.
Step 2
In a pan, add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, curry leaves, carrots, and peas. Saute well.

Add this masala tempering to the moong dal batter, along with fruit salt.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the idli maker and steam until soft and fluffy. Serve hot with sambar or coconut chutney.
