Pharmaceutical market in India will continue to grow, showing a better growth opportunity than many other geographical markets, says Moody’s Investors Service.<\/p>\n
Though, drug companies in the country could face higher debt levels as the growth of pharma sector which results in mergers and acquisitions, it said.<\/p>\n
“As consolidation in the sector continues globally, especially among generic drug companies, Indian firms will more and more look to become involved in global mergers and acquisitions. We have already seen some Indian companies increasing their pace of acquisitions,” Moody’s senior vice president, Michael Levesque said in a report.<\/strong><\/p>\n Moody’s vice president and senior analyst Kailash Chhaya said, “Even if India’s GDP growth gets slow down or is uneven, the Indian pharma industry would still represent a better growth opportunity than the other geographical markets, because of access to health care and improving socioeconomic conditions, against the backdrop of a rising ratio of diseases such as cardiovascular and diabetes problems.”<\/strong><\/p>\n If you are looking for a business opportunity which will give you high profitability, switch to pharma sector.
