Sesame Street Preschool, is the latest initiative of Sesame Workshop in India. Its aim is to make high quality early childhood education, resources and spaces accessible to children in India. Our preschool programme goes beyond ABC and 123, to inculcate 21st century skills of imagination, critical thinking, good communication and collaboration.

Sesame Street Preschool uses content and curriculum created by Sesame Workshop, the creators of the acclaimed educational children’s television show Sesame Street and the largest educational non-profit in the world.  Established in 1969 in the United States of America, Sesame Workshop’s work today extends across over 150 countries, making it the world’s largest preschool educator. The Workshop’s mission is to use the educational power of media to help children everywhere reach their highest potential.

Sesame Workshop has been present in India since 2006. Starting with the educational television programme Galli Galli Sim Sim and Chamki ki Duniya that reaches millions of children every day, the Workshop works with the government and other agencies to reach educational resources to children in need across the country.

This expertise is now being brought to the private Indian preschool space through Sesame Street Preschools. Combining the best of Sesame Street and Galli Galli Sim Sim our child centric curriculum, content & 360 degree methodology aims to change the paradigm of preschool education in India .

In 2011, Sesame Street preschool started franchising and presently has 50 franchisees.
