Don't rely on packaged foods as snacks. Keep walnuts, almonds, cashews, etc., handy. Nuts are rich in fatty acids and nutrients that can protect your skin.
Instead of refined/simple carbohydrates, add complex carbohydrates to your diet. Substitute maida for millet-based flours made of ragi, jowar, jowar, etc.
Craving something sweet? Don't reach for desserts with refined sugar. Relish the goodness of fresh fruits like oranges, kiwis, berries, pomegranates, etc.
Say no to sugary sodas, packaged juices, fizzy drinks, etc. Sip traditional desi drinks free of refined sugar, such as imli sherbet, nimbu paani, nariyal paani, etc.
Drink herbal teas rather than readymade chai/coffee. They have many advantages. Most herbal teas don't need milk, which can be problematic for certain skin types/conditions.
