‘To enter untapped states in India is our motto’- says Top Soda Maker Company in Asia

Mr. Butler is a leading brand in the world of Home Appliances and Food & Beverages. Incorporated in 1982, Mr. Butler pioneered Asia’s first home Sodamaker and continues to be the largest manufacturer of this product in the region.
The brand has become a household brand name in the state of Kerala and has also developed and expanded our business in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka with over 2000 dealers.

In an exclusive chat with, Mr. Adith P Mammen, Vice President, Mr. Butler spoke about their business development plan.

Ankit: About Mr. Butler

Mr. Butler is a premium small appliances brand that manufactures products that are beautiful in design, technologically advanced yet simple to use and most importantly sets a benchmark in quality.

We have been ranked as a leading brand in Kerala, by many business publications. Our founder and Managing Director, has received the ‘Business man of the Year’ award in Kerala in 2005.  We also export our products to many countries in Europe and Middle East, which is a testimony to our quality.



Shaifali: What is the specialty or we say USP’s of your products?

We have made the concept of preparing freshly carbonated water (Soda) and Fizzy Soft Drinks right at home and at a cost much cheaper than what one would pay at a shop.

We have a ‘hands-free’ grinding machine having several world-first features such as digital display screen, feather touch buttons, countdown timer, over load protection indicator and service indicator.

Our cookers are customized for local cooking needs and only the best quality components are used as with all Mr. Butler appliances.

Ankit: Plan of Expansion?

We are currently a household name in South India. We entered the Gujarat market 3 years ago and this product in just one state contributes to round Rs 5 crores in revenue. This shows the tremendous potential for our product in new markets, and hence we looking out for Distributors to be a part of our growth plans. This is a unique opportunity as we are the only manufacturer of Sodamakers in the country, and hence face no competition!

Ankit- Would like to ask about your future plans

In a span of 1-2 years, we are planning to be a PAN India brand through entering untapped states in India.

Shaifali: And how it is gainful to distributors?

By joining hands with us, distributor will be getting the opportunity to work with only established player in the Soda maker segment – No competition! We have broad market base extending in India and abroad including Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden, South Korea, Italy, Mauritius, etc. which is again a benefit to distributors as they will get an extended reach. Besides this, ours is a rapidly growing home carbonation market. It’s an opportunity to boost their existing product range and recurring revenue through continual deals of cylinder refills and soft-drinks concentrate.

Shaifali: No. of Distributors?

We are looking for 2-3 distributors per state across India. Also we are inviting  interested distributors from South Africa, Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
