Introduction
From last few decades we are familiar with several soft drink brands (aerated beverages), almost all of which are controlled by multinational companies. Not only these so-called cold drinks have an adverse effect on our health, but at the same time, they are draining our country’s wealth. In some parts of the country, they are also becoming a threat to the environment due to excessive water pumping. In terms of joke, some of these brands are often referred to as “toilet cleaners”, which we consume proudly.
As a healthy alternative, we plan to introduce the goodness of Buransh, the state flower of Uttrakhand in a ready to sip drink. This would be aerated too, giving people the feel of consuming their regular soft drinks but, with a healthy option.
• Latest research has evaluated anti-diabetic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, heart and liver protective property of Buransh flower. Buransh is thus a great antioxidant drink for your heart, liver, kidney and skin.
• Various phytochemicals in Buransh offer antioxidant property and protect heart from oxidative stress and reduces risk of stroke and other heart disorders. Quercetin and rutin are two flavonoids found in Buransh flower juice which have established its benefits for heart. Quercetin supplementation is prescribed in treating hypertension, atherosclerosis and other heart disorders, while rutin helps in preventing blood clots which pose risk of heart attacks. These flavonoids in Buransh flower inhibits growth of cancer cells and reduces risk of cancer.
