Natural Eggshell Powder Pharma Grade

Our Natural Eggshell Powder Pharma Grade is a high purity, low particle size powder that is an excellent source of calcium for use as ingredient in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and dietary supplement formulations as well as in food preparations.
Eggshell powder is a fine, white powder made from ground-up eggshells. It is often used as a natural supplement because it is rich in calcium and other minerals. Calcium is an essential mineral that is important for the health of bones, teeth, and other tissues in the body. Eggshells are a good source of calcium because they are made up of about 95% calcium carbonate. There is research that indicates that calcium absorption is 64% greater from eggshell powder compared to pure calcium carbonate*.
Our process of commercial manufacture of eggshell powder involves:
1. Collection: Eggshells are collected from egg processing plants or farms where eggs are collected.
2. Cleaning: The collected eggshells are cleaned to remove any dirt or contaminants.
3. Drying: The cleaned eggshells are then dried to remove any moisture. This can be done by placing the shells in a dry, ventilated area or using a dehydrator.
4. Grinding: The dried eggshells are then ground into a fine powder using a grinder or pulveriser.
5. Purification: The eggshell powder goes through a unique process of purification whereby the desired qualities are enhanced and unwanted impurities are removed. The purified eggshell powder is dried again.
6. Sieving: The purified eggshell powder is then sieved to remove any larger particles.
7. Packaging: The final eggshell powder is then packaged in suitable containers or bags for sale or distribution.
8. Quality control: Samples of the eggshell powder are tested for purity and quality at raw material, in-process and finished goods stages before it is released for sale.
