Presently, we are dealing with various products viz. Mustard oil, soybean refined oil, salt, soya chunks, spices, coconut oil, Ghee and Incense sticks. Our products have gained reputation and acceptability with excellence in quality and its hygienic process of manufacturing in accordance to the food safety regulations. The business community in particular and the consumer has appreciated competitive price and uninterrupted supply of our products in general. Inquiries by buyers both from domestic and international market have encouraged us to emphasize our best efforts to produce the products to the extent of its highest quality. We are proud of having our own workshop with modern techno-viable equipment and highly experienced humane resources to copy up with the competitor’s brand. About Our Company : Saha Mercantile Pvt. Ltd. has been registered under the Indian Companies Act 1956 by the Registrar of Companies, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The registered office of the Company is located at City Heights Building (4th floor), 40/C Jessore Road south, Dakbunglow More, Barasat, Kolkata-700 124, West Bengal, India. The Company has also been registered as SSI by the District Industries Centre (DIC), Government of West Bengal. The Company is certified as ISO 9001:2008. Apart from others, Government of West Bengal has allotted registration of VAT and CST to the company. Export & Import License of the Company has added additional benefit to procure raw materials and marketing of its product(s) to abroad. The chairman and Managing Director of the company are well-educated and obtained sufficient practical known –how to run good administration. At the outset, the Company contemplated to set up a technically feasible and economically viable manufacturing unit so that it could cater the needs of the people in particular and the country in general. Generating mass employment to unemployed youth were the prime motto of the management of the company. History of the Company : The “SMPL STAR”, is the brand name and trade mark of the Company. The ‘Star Salt’, is the pioneer product of the company and running in the market since last three decade with its excellence in quality and gained reputation amongst our beloved customer(s). The inspiration from the Late Harendra Chandra Saha to supply ‘iodized and triple refined free flow’ salt has made the Company renowned. The present management of the company was inspired with the idea of its predecessor to innovate and introduce more product(s) in coming days. Administration : The Company has engaged very experienced persons to control the administration so that it could promote its qualitative product(s) to the market. The Third Management and a Counsel of Expert has cemented the Company strong. The Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM) amongst the employees and employer has strengthened the solidarity to boost up its mechanism. Workshop : The Company has set up a well-equipped workshop for manufacturing its qualitative products(s). The automatic plant and machinery has minimized its cost of production and controlled the price of the product(s) with good quality. The Works Manager has been entrusted the responsibilities to run the workshop in a systematic manner. No Product(s) is allowed to dispatch in the market without proper analytical test. The Analytical Chemist has been entrusted the responsibilities for testing the products. The manufacturing process is being done under the specification of Food Safety Regulations. Marketing of Product(s) : The Company has set up a Market Monitoring Committee to control its marketing system. The marketing is being done in a systematic manner with organized structure. The distribution chains are being routed C&F Agent to super stockiest(s) to Distributor(s) to Retailer(s)/Wholesaler(s) respectively. The Director (Marketing) is the supreme commander in marketing. The Director (Marketing) is supported by General Manager (Sales), Corporate Sales Manager, Zonal Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Executive and Sales Representative. All the marketing staff of the Company is target driven. Company has offered very attractive pay & package and incentive structure to its marketing staff. A part from this, Company has allowed to its employees various welfare scheme. Manufacturing/ Processing of Product(s) All the product(s) are being manufactured/processed in a systematic manner. Modern and techno-viable machineries in automatic shape are producing timely and voluminous production keeping its good quality in hygienic condition. Since inception, it was the motto of the Company to supply the product(s) to the market maintaining proper quality in hygienic condition. All the packing materials are being vacuum washed and well tested before packing the materials. Analytical Chemist is monitoring round the clock on the manufacturing process. Un-authorized persons are restricted their entries in the processing unit.
