Product Description
Citric acid acts as an acidity modifier in food products. This white crystalline powder imparts a sour/tart taste. It replaces lemon juice in recipes like namkeens and chiwda and hence makes the preparations crisper. Also used in soft drinks, this fruit acid acts as an acidulant in khaman dhokla, idli, vada and makes them instant with the addition of sodium bi-carbonate.
